About

About Fire & Bliss

Fire & Bliss is the first online art platform centering the work of LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists and connecting them to a community of devoted patrons with a shared passion for racial justice and LGBTQ+ liberation.

We Believe

  • Art can awaken your soul and ignite your passions in a way that nothing else can.
  • Art speaks louder than words and diverse artists need to be heard now more than ever.

  • Artists should be able to make a living off of their talents and still maintain full control over their art, their profit, and their brands.

  • The opaqueness of the art world overwhelmingly disenfranchises LGBTQ+ and BIPOC artists. (This is also a fact.)

  • Art is a tool for understanding the world we live in, reimagining it, and daring to create the world we’d like to see.

We're Committed To

  • Supporting artists and growing their brands and income, first and foremost.
  • Partnering with vendors who share our vision for racial justice and LGBTQ+ liberation. From our bookkeeper to our printer, we have vetted each vendor to ensure their company’s  values align with ours. Did you know we make sure to only bank Black?

  • Producing everything we create in the United States using Fair Labor Practices.

  • Purposefully collaborating with Black/Brown and/or Queer-Owned businesses and vendors with environmentally friendly practices. Being an ever-evolving company that never stops listening, learning, and creating a more equitable world for all.

Our Backstory

Fire & Bliss is the soul-calling of founding partner Jennifer Coulter Stapleton. Jennifer, her wife Amy, and a group advisors made up of entrepreneurs, activists, and artists founded Fire & Bliss in 2020 to be a platform to center the work of LGBTQ+ and/or BIPOC artists and others committed to racial justice and queer liberation.

Like many artists, at the urging of her parents and other “sensible” people, Jennifer pursued a career in something other than art (in her case, communications and marketing) because it was the safer career route. And, again, like many people, the pandemic gave Jennifer the time and space to reflect on her life’s work and what success really is. For Jennifer, success has to include creativity and spending time with creative people expressing themselves through art across a range of disciplines.

So, she launched Fire & Bliss to be a place to further the careers of artists. Because racial justice and LGBTQ+ liberation are core values of Jennifer and the other architects of Fire & Bliss, those artists who are BIPOC and/or queer are centered in this place.
