The Problem

Equipped with a new documentary and hot off the heels of a highly successful documentary titled Sky Blossom, Prisca was looking to market their new documentary and raise funds for the premiere of Unconditional. Unconditional explores caregiving and the effects it can have on the mental wellness of the caregiver. Approximately 34.2 million Americans have provided unpaid care to an adult age 50 or older in the last 12 months. As caregiving responsibilities continue to touch more families, the nonprofit, Prisca, led by NBC’s Richard Lui, is focusing on supporting the mental health and wellness of caregivers and the families they serve.

Challenges

In a moment where there are many causes to support, Prisca needed to break through the noise and identify key media organizations, brands, and philanthropists that would support the development of Unconditional and future Prisca initiatives.

Solution

Fire & Bliss worked with Prisca to identify the media organizations, brands, and philanthropists that are most likely to donate to a cause like Unconditional. Focusing on military and healthcare organizations that have specific organizational commitments to supporting caregiving and caregivers, we built a matrix of potential funders to approach for sponsorship. Additionally, we worked with Prisca to identify powerful ways to introduce Unconditional to the general masses via social media and email marketing.
